Your local radio station Alpha 103.2 has made the signing of the summer by recruiting former Premier League referee and North East football guru, Jeff Winter to it's programming team.

Jeff will air his first Alpha 103.2 Football Phone In on August 2nd covering not only Darlington Football Club in depth with full season previews and listener feedback but also giving the fans of the region's other clubs, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool, the chance to air their views.

It's a fantastic signing for Darlington's local station who are very pleased to announce this addition to the existing programming team.

Alpha 103.2 Station Manager Mark Reason said, "We're really pleased to be expanding our football coverage in season 2008/2009, Jeff's a great addition and will develop our involvement with Darlington Football Club as well as increasing our coverage of other clubs of interest in our region."

He added, "Where other radio stations are pulling out of locally generated output we're continuing to keep Darlington, Newton Aycliffe and Sedgefield's residents up to date with everything that matters to them."

Jeff's first show will air at 6pm on Saturday 2nd August 2008.
