CASH BOOST FOR SCHEME
A long-running volunteering scheme that helps ferry patients to their appointments is getting a cash boost.
County Durham Primary Care Trust has agreed to fund the CVS project for the next three years.
The programme has been running the GP transport service across the North East for the past 12 years - including in Barnard Castle, Middleton in Teesdale, Weardale, and Chester-le-Street.
